Re: Unmatched Adjacencies Debacle

Hi, Thanks for bumping this back up, we released a patch recently 2017.0.2.0 which should resolve a lot of errors on the geometry and specifically rebuild. I think running models that were created with some of these problems through this version won't necessarily "fix" them but would hope ...

Re: Request - process HVAC variables

Hi Christopher,

Is that something you could approach currently through use of the set of Vista output variables available to you or by applying subMeters in your model?

Re: Parallel Notional and Actual Building Simulation

Hi, thanks for bumping this thread back up, we're working on the next update of VE 2017.1.0.0 and it will contains a few general improvements in Parallel Simulation Manager that I think will help you here. This includes running the Tasks from a local user folder rather than the generic Program Data ...

Re: Erros - Import data from excel file to Tabular Space Data.

Hi Phong, What version of VE are you using? The Space ID column should be included on your export so it should be there when you try to paste back in and I wonder if there was an error on this in a previous version Such an issue was fixed in VE 2015 Feature Pack 2 Hotfix 1 for instance Importing to ...

Re: DSM Ap Systems Aux Energy Fan Fraction

Hi, Sorry I need to get that updated in the User Guide. It is related to our new Meters and End Uses options in the results analysis and allows you to specify the fraction of the auxiliary that is associated to fans (and not pumps) which would allow viewing that breakdown on the results when viewing...

Re: Using room occupancy as a profile variable

Hi, Occupancy typically follows a fixed schedule and isn't a calculated variable in the simulations so it should be possible simply to define the schedule of your opening profile to follow the occupancy schedule (i.e. apply this profile between 9-5). I appreciate you just want to do it as another va...

Re: Can we please get a toblerone shape. Ta

Hi, Do you mean the old Toblerone shape or the new one? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-37904703 In seriousness I'm not sure this would really be the most useful addition as the ModelIT shapes cover all basic geometry types which can then be combined or subtracted in order to make more advanced s...

Re: Error: Maximum number of rooms exceeded, 6000

Hi, The limitations are due to extension of x number of rooms could result in so many room components and associated other components and controllers from the HVAC network which will ultimately lead to Apache not being able to correctly handle the memory requirements for simulating your model, reduc...

Re: Is it fine if I manually delete Radiance and SunCast files ?

hi, When running simulations with the SunCast or Radiance link ticked on the simulation settings dilaog then Parallel Simulation Manager is able to check if the relevant input files exists for apache (i.e. shd shading file or ill illuminance file) and if not then it will schedule and calculate this,...

Re: Mechanical Ventilation - temperature set point

Hi,

Are you modelling this as an air exchange? You can create a formula profile to control the air supply base don the air temps. Or go into much more detial in an ApacheHVAC design, again controlling air flow from the inlet based on teh air temp sensed in the space
