I am fairly new to IES, I did a 3 days training and I am now doing a sample project, which is a 6m x 8m house with ground floor and basement. To understand better the software I am changing one setting per time and cross check the result variations.
I set 3 different locations: Palermo, London Heathrow and Iceland and run suncast for each of these. On the roof I get 922 kWh/sqm in Palermo and 921 kWh/sqm in Iceland.
My questions are:
- What am I missing?
- Does suncast consider the sunshine hours for each location?
- Also, and this in not directly related, can you confirm that running suncast for the CIBSE loads is not useful?
