Script Compilation/Deployment

Postby jplayle » Wed May 03, 2017 10:22 am

Hi all,

A few questions here on compiling and sharing scripts, if anyone knows any info:

- How do we compile/package scripts so they can be used by others but the code is not editable etc - can it be done by users or do IES handle it?
- Once they are compiled - how does another user obtain, install and run a compiled script?
- Is the script store still being released and if so any ideas when it will be ready?

For now, only IES can package up scripts for distribution.

We're still working on the infrastructure for making this capability more widely available (this includes package creation, distribution / script store etc - these things are high up on the roadmap).

Right now, you could distribute a python script package yourself (email or upload it to a webpage). We would be happy to help you put the package together. If you email our support team with the request to create a python script package, we can get the process started on our end, gather the required information and files etc.
