Re: Help - Adiabatic Walls of Mid-Terrace
Hi,
To get a no heat transfer adjacency in the VE then you would model the adjacent room as an adjacent building type or on an inactive layer.
This would set the space to be inactive in simulation and also the adjacency where it meets any active thermal spaces is treated as no heat transfer as ...

Re: Geometry - Geodesic Domes
Hi,
ModelIT has a tool to draw a hemisphere that would be a strong start to the shape you want. Otherwise I always found the VE plug-in for Sketchup does a good job with geometry like that and it will come through with the segmented surfaces as drawn in SketchUp so gives you some better control ...

Re: Error: Element STD_CEIL in room ' ... ' has no corresponding element in room ' ,,, '
Hi,
This error will typically manifest due to something in the geometry, it's likely to be a slight intersection or mismatch in the areas that result in a sliver (very small area adjacency) that is not quite aligned.
The configure rooms tool in ModelIT can sometimes auto-adjust the points so they ...

Re: Suncast/MicroFlo Simulation Issues 'Access is denied'
Hi,
access is denied would suggest the files can't write where they need to, this could be permissions or some error in the path which VE can run into when non-standard ascii characters are used in the project name or folder where they are stored.
Check these areas
1. where the project is stored ...

Re: Window surface temperature
Hi,
on simulation settings before you run the sim click on output options then choose the detailed output for rooms, there is an option there for the internal surface temperatures. Then select which rooms you want this output to.

Hi,
if you don't have all the applications listed then most likely you haven't activated a licence yet. You can request a free trial via help >> request licence keys

Re: Modules Bundled w/ Student Version of IESVE
Hi,
the student version is a single seat of all VE modules except for the compliance regulations applications, it is intended for use to supplement your studies for instance allowing full model building capability, apache simulation and loads analysis, SunCast shading study, RadianceIES or FlucsDL ...
