How is the energy consumption of air distribution fans decided in ApacheHVAC?
The sum of the design power of all my fans is about 90Kw but when I run an apache simulation the energy consumption for air distribution fans equals around 500Kw. Why is it so much more?

Comparing reference mode and actual model results in vista pro
I have a reference model and a proposed model which differ in terms of materials, lighting efficiency and hvac efficiency. So far I have just create 2 separate IES project files one for the reference and one for the proposed, and ran the simulations in apache separately for each. Is there a way of ...

Is there a way to specify light gains per individual room?
All my rooms are are using the light gain defined by the lighting templates I defined earlier in building template manager. For example, all offices are using 12w/m2 based on the 'classroom lighting' template I defined. But since having conducted a lighting schedule I know the light gains per ...

Is it possible to have one way flow VC dampers?
I am trying to model an underfloor air distribution system which has underfloor ducts, the flow rate to the underfloor air distributors is controlled by volume control dampers in every duct to determine the flow rate to each distributor in l/s. The air is returned at the ceiling, so it does not get ...

Multiplexing with VAV terminals
I have several zones in my building served by different air handling units. So I create a few different multiplex zones to represent those areas, but the design airflow (in l/s) for the rooms within a single zone varies. I just have modelled one fan (in the AHU) going into the multiplex, so I have ...
