Re: BIAS connection
It would be nice if someone from IES could respond to this. VE 2021 is 4 feature packs in and still no word on this and still no function for it.

Re: Thermal Mass Cm - How is it calculated? Where is it used?
I believe IES calculates thermal mass based on the heat capacity of the construction layers in use, from inside surface to outside, and STOPS measuring from whichever condition occurs first:
-halfway through the construction assembly (based on length, I believe. So if you only have one material ...

Go the the navigators, and click the drop down to see the list of all navigators. Find the navigator for "Geometry Tools". Select it, scroll to the bottom of the navigator, and click "Enable sparse mode". Sparse mode will stop the browser from automatically refreshing when drawing, so it will speed ...

Tabular HVAC Systems/Bulk editing HVAC systems
The fact that this isn't already a feature in some form is hard to believe. I've just finished updating a 90.1 PRM model inherited from a coworker - with 250 AHUs and over 400 total apacheHVAC systems. Reheat and demand controlled ventilation needed to be added to EVERY air handler manually by ...

Re: A typical day in the office - I give up!!
Less of a question and more of not productive venting, but given how much these geometry errors seem to be driving you crazy, have you bothered investigating the effect on simulation results?

Correct HVAC multiplex setup
I have a couple of questions related to proper system setup and multiplexing.
1. Concerning floor SA and ceiling RA plenums serving multiple zones (all zones on a system), the ApHVAC user guide C (section 3.2.4) instructs the user to add those zones to their respective components on each ...
