I've found a fairly simple way to find the external ceiling area.
Expand the room in the 'room browser' (LHS tab) to see individual surfaces in the room. Highlighting an individual surface (if it's a wall, it's named wall, ceiling = ceiling and so on...). Another level down you highlight 'Exterior ...

Model Report Bug and Extracting Ext. Ceiling Areas
Hi there,
I've spotted a problem with the data assignment section in the model report, in particular the detailed data breakdown of each space.
First I though the headings are not very clear as to what they represent. Is there a user guide detailing what each heading represents?

Vista W/m2 and SunCast kWh/m2 Results
Hi everyone,
I've been looking at the solar gains for a model. I've been using SunCast and ApacheSim to collect some data for various building surfaces and I'm seeing some interesting results.
Here are the results from one building surface for one hour in one day:

Immediate crash after entering VE Compliance
I've finished creating a model and am now beginning to test its compliance with the Regs;L2_ENGLAND license installed.
I started to install the lighting for a single room whilst on the VE compliance tab - set up building templates (Internal gains) - edit internal gains. I chose to adjust the ...

Re: Radiance not running
I'm currently getting the same problem. I tried following the link that Terence posted, but it doesn't exist anymore.
Did any of you figure out the problem?
I've tried creating a very simple room on a new project, and the same problem occurred. I'm not receiving any error reports.
Any help ...

Re: Change Air Permeability (IES 2015)
Unfortunately not. Air permeability is a specific parameter used to test the air tightness of a building. Although it is very closely related to the infiltration rate, the units being used are more specific than a simple ac/h. It is a measurement of the infiltration rate within a building in units ...

Change Air Permeability (IES 2015)
I simply need to change the air permeability.
I've found how to do this in previous versions of IES, but the same routes don't seem to apply to the 2015 version. If there's a way to do this, they've hidden it well.
Cheers,
Harry
