Hi,
Is there any way to find the average U-value for an entire building?
Thanks in advance

Surface properties map deleted
Problem description:
The second time I open Radiance, all of my surface properties have disappeared. It seems as if the saved .map file have been cleared, because nothing happens when I try to reopen it. Also, if I try to create a new surface property, say a floor, this property is set to all of my ...

Re: Thermal mass Cm parameter
Hi Vic,
Not sure if VE calculates it otherwise, but the Cm-value should be calculated as below (though called Km instead).
How is the Km value (effective thermal capacity) calculated for a construction?
The Km values are calculated by:
For each construction element:
Calculate the contribution ...

District heating, district cooling, and also heat rejection
Hi,
I have two questions that I'd be happy to find answers to.
First, in ApSys, how do I model a system which is heated by district heating and cooled by district cooling, in terms of seasonal efficiency, delivery efficiency, and SCoP for the heating part and seasonal EER, delivery efficiency and ...

Thermal comfort at a certain point in a room
I'd like to find the mean radiant temperature, dry resultant temperature, and PPD for a particular point within a room. The results in Vista only show a mean value for the whole room. Say that I'm interested in a point centered one meter from the biggest window, and one meter above floor level ...
