Re: Radiance not running

Hi Paulina,
Couple of models are already sent by my coworker, so these issues should be known to the team.

Re: Radiance not running

It's 2019 and this is still a problem.

I have not once ran a successful Daylight Simulation for the proposed model as it gets stuck at 0% forever. This only happens with the PRM module as simulation that is started from the Radiance application runs just fine. This means that I can't generate the ...

ASHRAE Prototype System 7

Does someone has an idea which controller is responsible to maintain minimum OA supply during system occupied hours in ASHRAE 90.1 PRM Baseline System 7 as I only see airflow controllers that are driven by sensed temperature (circled in orange)? I get negative airflow @ node 881 when running Apache ...

ASHRAE Prototype System 3

Since I can't search the words "design minimum primary airflow" in topics as the search returns that they are too common words, as most of the words related to our subject of interest, does anyone know how to enable option "Force design minimum primary airflow at least equal to required ventilation ...

Rebuild Model Adjacencies Bug

I am working on a highly complex model, the type that IES doesn't like to work with (lots of irregularly shaped spaces, i.e not drawn as rectangles). Before it was handed over to me I ran the model report and it checked out error-free. This was a relief, but a short-lived one. After I ran the option ...

Re: Model-IT produced intersection errors for previously OK model

I feel you jerry! I took over a project that had an error-free report previously only to find, when running the "ASHRAE Baseline Constructions", that it actually has more than 40 intersection errors and around 20 unmatched adjacencies. This probably triggered rebuild feature and stuff happened. :lol ...

HVAC Components

Being unable to rotate HVAC equipment in ApacheHVAC can make complex systems that are interconnected look very clumsy and cluttered. Is this feature in the plan for future updates maybe?

Correctly Model Free Cooling Chiller

Hello gals and gents,
Any ideas out there how to properly model the free cooling capacity of a chiller and get as accurate results in a PRM report as possible? To give a real-world scenario the chiller I am trying to model is Carrier 30XBP 1000 ( https://files.carrier.com/building-solutions/en/kw ...

Re: Energy efficient LPD

Can't help you with the benchmark, I don't have any information on that. As for the LPD I would use Food Preparation for the k*****n, Dormitory - Living Quarter for the bedroom and living room, corridor for the corridor, restroom for the restroom, etc.
