Alright seems like I have to accept that. :)
Is it alright to assign the boundary condition imported from Vista after drawing all other boundaries present in the room? (in particular after drawing all diffusers - if I try to do it the surface temperature boundaries are drawn automatically around ...

Re: Surface boundary error
Thank you Liamh for your reply.
The boundary set up makes more sense to me now.
The problem with copying and moving and moving diffusers was also due to the presence of temperature boundary on internal surfaces.
Only doubt left is about rotating diffusers or drawing them non aligned to the main ...

Surface boundary error
Hi,
I am placing supply diffusers on my Microflo model but when I try to draw the geometry I get the message "Surface boundary must be contained within a surface and must not overlap existing boundaries". The only other boundary I have on the surface if the surface temperature imported from Vista ...

Re: Import opening flows
Thank you very much Liam for the thorough explanation. It really helps understanding how Microflo works.
One more advise: how would you suggest to model an air supply through a perforated steel sheet? Is it possible to model a turbulent flow or should I just use a general diffuser to which assign ...

Re: Import opening flows
Hi,
thank you for the quick reply. It just leaves me with few more questions:
If Macroflo predicts that flow enters the CFD domain through an opening then Microflo will set up a diffuser/supply boundary with the predicted flow rate and supply temperature. If Macroflo predicts that air exits the ...

Import opening flows
Hi,
I am currently trying to get results on air temperature and velocity in a mechanically ventilated room with Microflo.
It is not clear to me whether the "Import opening flow" option is somehow linked to Macroflo or not and how it works.
If my room has overpressure (more supply air then return ...

Heat source part-load performance
Hi,
I was wondering why the performance on part-load heat source model is limited to 500%. I need to model a water-source heat pump, whose COP is higher that 5. How can I do this?
Thanks
Bets

Re: unmatched adjacencies
Alright, that wasn't a good idea: I get an error when running simulations now (can't cheat!). I fixed a backup file like you suggested and it seems like everything is working now. Thanks again

Re: unmatched adjacencies
Thanks a lot for your reply, it is very useful.
Before reading your reply i thought it could have something do to with the adjacency separation distance. After a couple of unsuccessful tries, i set it to zero and that apparently solved the problems..but created external holes. I reset the ...

unmatched adjacencies
Hi,
i get some unmatched adjacencies after creating the inner volume of my model (which didn't give any error before), how do I fix them? I don't totally understand the meaning of unmatched adjacencies. If I go to the adjacency level on the surfaces that apparently do not match and check the ...
