One the prototype is imported I have deleted all the airside system to just leave the hot water loop and heat generator.
I have then assigned radiators to my room and the hot water loop system. The radiators then have an on/off set point controller assigned based on a timed variation with absolute ...

Re: Disappearing assigned gains
Thanks for the reply harshadj,
I was using 2016 when I had the issue, however I believe this is a known issue to IES and therefore I was advised to revert back to 2015 for CFD.
I have re-created the model in 2015 with no issues so far.

Thanks for the replay farahghanem,
I have now created a heating system in Apache HVAC by importing a prototype system from the templates and then removing the unwanted airside part of the prototype. I have then assigned radiators to the hot water loop for each space, however there still appears to ...

I am using Apache HVAC for the first time to model a boost ventilation system at external condition (with not heating or cooling coils).
I have created the ventilation system an the apache results confirm that the flowrates etc are working as anticipated. However, the heating system that I have ...

In Microflo, how do you assign both a heat gain and CO2 source to a component used to reflect a person?

Disappearing assigned gains
I have created a CFD model of a typical classroom. I have assigned various internal gains to equipment and people components, however the assigned gains keep disappearing from the model.
Any ideas on what might be causing this?

IES and Revit Interface
Hi,
I am just about to start looking at the IES and Revit interface with a view to incorporating the capability between the software into a BIM strategy. As a starting point I thought it might be good to post on the forum for advice and experience of existing REVIT/IES users, therefore I have the ...

How does the software recognise that there is no solar gain?
I am sure I have read somewhere that IES intend to release a version with ground as an adjacency option, is this true?

Re: How to assign clients design weather details
The client has provided a specific summer and winter temperature that the design should be based on.
I have no problems doing this and have explained the implications such as the performance of the system when the weather exceeds the data provided.
