Re: "Error: Too many points on percentage profiles"
Just to confirm and close this topic - simulation will tend to fail with 'Error: Too many points on percentage profiles' when the APpro .pdb profiles are above 15,000 points or so.

Re: profile formula being altered when importing system profile
It's a fine guess! My understanding is that a modulating profile begins with 'PERCENT,' and an absolute begins with 'ABSOLUTE,'.
Both the profiles I've posted below are modulating, however the fact that there has appeared this 0.01 factor does imply some kind of automated correction. I'm lost as ...

profile formula being altered when importing system profile
I've tried to add a system profile manually by adding the profile to the appropriate .pdb and .pro files. However when I then import these profiles from the system folder to a project, I find a slight difference.

Re: "Error: Too many points on percentage profiles"
I seem to have got round this problem by splitting one project up into smaller projects. The error message stopped appearing when I took the number of profiles below 120 daily profiles and <16,000 lines in the '.PDB' file. Instead another error message has popped up.. I may be posting again shortly ...

Re: "Error: Too many points on percentage profiles"
Had had a play around, and it seems the error message pops up even if I'm using none of my own profiles. Just the fact that they exist in the .PDB (day profiles) and .PRO (week & year profiles) files seems to generate this error. Anyone know of a limit to the number of profiles in a .PRO or .PDB ...

"Error: Too many points on percentage profiles"
I've been generating modulating APpro profiles with a resolution of 10min intervals.
When I run a single profile in a room, it seems to work fine, however, when I then try to run a lot of these profiles at once I get this error:
"Error: Too many points on percentage profiles"
Anyone else come ...

Re: editing template (*.mtd) files
Thanks Phil. Not unexpected - I only ask as I've been manually altering the ApPro profiles manually with success for some time now, but they're in simple text format. Unfortunately the internal gains are all different, beginning to slog through them now!

editing template (*.mtd) files
Hi,
I'm trying to automate the process of creating templates. In my problem there are 100 identical systems and conditions, ASIDE from the internal gains, which vary across templates.
Any way to edit the .mtd files directly?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: subsoil heat exchanger
Solved - Have since found the discussions on modelling earthtubes, was just using the wrong terminology.

- really? it's odd that they recommend modelling broken physics, when it can actually handle low-e glazing just fine without bending the rules!huntervu28 wrote:Change cavity resistance to meet your demand, this tip is in <VE> official document, not my trick .
