Simulating an IF control function
Whats the easiest way to simulate an "If" control.
Eg. I have 2 air inputs and I want to set them to be either/or.. logic statement would be as follows:
"If flow rate in stream A is 250 l/s then Flow rate in Stream B will be 0 l/s" AND
"If flow rate in stream A is 0 l/s then Flow rate in Stream B ...

Re: Heat Exchange Units
Ok i missed that one. Didnt realise you had to define the temperature of the conditioned air.
I find it strange that you're telling the heat exchanger to attain a certain temperature when in reality it depends on the two entering air stream conditions and the heat exchange should transfer what ...

Heat Exchange Units
I'm using a heat exchanger to preheat my incoming air for a typical FCU HVAC system.. I've set the HX at 90% efficiency for sensible heat transfer.
After I run the apachesim, I go and query the tempeature of the airstream immediately after the HX unit and I dont see it gain or drop in temp as ...

Re: Mixed mode systems - HVAC controls
Yep i figured that one out after some experimenting with the OR function. I did exactly the same thing and it works well.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Mixed mode systems - HVAC controls
Yep i've tried doing that with a single sensor but i can only make it switch on from High value onwards Or from low values only. eg. i want somthing to turn off between 20-25 degrees. i can use a proportional control to make it stay off till 20 and then make it modulate between 20-25 degrees and ...

Mixed mode systems - HVAC controls
Hello,
I'm strugglling to set up a HVAC system which turns it self off when the outdoor ambient conditions are right. (i.e ambient between 20 and 25 degrees)I can set up windows to open and close in macro flow but i want to turn off my supply fans and heat/cool coils when the external conditions ...
