Specular reflection glitch

Hello again,

I'm doing research on daylighting facade systems and I encountered the following problem.
There are curved lamellas fitted just outside the window with reflective coating on top (plastic white 0,8 spec 0,8 roughness 0,015)
The reflective planes that are facing away from the camera (the ...

Re: Specular reflection

Found it!

I must add 'roughness' to the material to make the directional reflections.
If it's at 0.0 then it doesn't work.

Specular reflection

Hi IES,

How can I simulate specular reflections in radiance?

So far I can only get the following result:

The renders are with 'maximum' quality. I have also tried the custom settings, but so far only diffuse reflections seem possible.

Re: Luminance simulation - Albedo/horizon settings

Yes, that is what i did in the picture above (Notice the green plane outside). Sadly, it looks unnatural having a dark horizon directly above it. For presentation reasons, it might raise confusion in the audience.

Can I conclude that it's not possible to change the settings for the horizon ...

Luminance simulation - Albedo/horizon settings

Hello. I'm having a problem with simulating illuminance/luminance. The IESRadiance software simulates the outside surface below the horizon, but it seems to be way too dark.

The horizon is almost as dark as the inside of the window frame.
To make a comparison ...
