Hello Richard,
Sounds very much like a permissions issue - have you tried saving to a simple path on your local drive?
"C:\VE-Projects\Test\Test1\Test1.mit" would be stop number 1 on my tracking route.
David.

Re: Frame factor on fully glazed facade
Hi Collie,
In all honesty I would be tempted to draw a random pattern of shading to account for the 40% of opaque panels. While the pattern might not match what the architect has planned with no guidance you are at least approaching the concept he/she has envisaged.

Re: an error occurred while running apache calculations
Hello there,
I've seen that a few times now. It's probably going to be getting caused by one of two things:
1) Invalid model passing an unbound space into the Apache engine.
2) Network permissions restricting Apache's access to data files.
Here's how to check for issues...

Hi Kasper,
Yeah it is an issue - we've tried the manual route in the past and it might well be time to start that again.

Drawing over a DXF in elevation view
A handy clip here from our YouTube channel which shows how to trace an elevation from a DXF file (for whole glazing facade for example):

Re: profile creation
sounds like a sensible enough approach if you are certain that you are going to encounter these different temperatures.

Hey John,
There's a good bit of development going on in this area - 6.5 out in October should prove interesting!

Hi there,
Once you get your hear round these they are pretty simple but as Internal Volumes effect the area and quite obviously the volume of a space, we have to be careful when applying or not applying inner volumes.

Re: Trouble with solar gain section in BRUKL report
just in case you don't already know this...
There's an export to 6.1 option in the VE Compliance menu.
We put that in because you can't open a newer model in an older version (in the main).
David.
