Hi,
i'm wondering if with the new parametric softwares (hone, elements, parametric) is possibile to simulate different scenario in which envelope parameters are the variables (for example U-values or g-factor).
In the Parametric tool introduction it talks about construction but I'm not them as a ...

System frame usage
Dear all,
I use VE a lot for work but rarely ApacheHVAC, usually for a time reason. Now for a new project I want to spend some time and try to setup an ApacheHVAC model to make some advanced consideration.
I'm stuck at the beginning: I want to create a system frame around a simple multiplex system ...

Re: Apache system setpoint influence
Yes, I think the same as you for boundary condition and for this reason I'm quite sure that the right way to simulate it is the first one with setpoint on.
My concern is because I have to verify that my diffusers, with that flow rate, with that temperature/humidity, are able to grant 22°C inside ...

Apache system setpoint influence
Dear all,
I'm making a CFD simulation for a museum space with air distribution from diffusers placed across the perimeter of the building. I have calculate sensible and latent load with apache and establish the correct supply condition/air flow for each diffuser. The simulation works perfectly but I ...

Re: Aux: system and room level power
Sorry for the double post but I cannot solve the problem. If a define a "zone-level SFP" in a classic apache calculation, at room level I cannot assign any kind of power consumption!

Aux: system and room level power
Dear all,
I'm having some serious problem trying to define a precise value for auxiliary for a "normal" simulation (not NCM compliace!). Summarizing I have 3 contributions from auxiliary:
- Mechanical ventilation fan power: SFP based on ventilation flow rate (l/s mq)
- Inside unit fan power: SFP ...

Re: Daikin plugin for Ashrae 90.1
PCully, thank you for your advice.
So, for a LEED procedure, I cannot use both Daikin plugin and ApacheHVAC module? I cannot "export" Daikin parameters and "import" them into a generic ApacheHVAC configuration? It could be a tremendous time saving approach insted of modelling from beginning the VRF ...

Daikin plugin for Ashrae 90.1
Dear all,
we are approaching a new project in Italy, C&S 2009 protocol, in which we will install a VRF system. We have to model the building in order to evaluate EAp1 and EAc1 and it could be very very useful to have a simplify tool like the Daikin plugin to simulate the system without use the ...

Re: Custom Variables/Filter Backup
The most frequent bug imply that the custom variable is not visualized in the results (for example in peak tables). This happen randomly, usually after spending some time in Vista Pro selecting and deselecting variables.
Here some examples:
