For me, even if the sensor is placed downstream the control stills work with outside temperature,

Mirror material in IES Radiance,
Hi,
I was surprised that mirror materials in radiance can't be modelled :o in IES radiance. I know that high specularity plastic can do most of the task of surfaces with high reflectances, but, in that sense it can not give good a good approach in quasi-mirror surface as solartubes or heliostats in ...

Insulate roof in summer doesn't give good results in VE
Hi all
I have a project where I need to model a maintenance hangar,
In this project we are evaluating the relevance of insulate the roof to improve the confort level in summer. The hangar has no air conditioned system but we use natural ventilation which seems to work well.

Re: What data is behind my choices?
Hi all,
I also have the same questions about all the provenance of all the information is exported with the IES Sketchup plugin, its seems it cames from ASHRAE, but I couldn't find any documentation who confirm this.
Also the link from the prevous work doesn't work,
Thanks in advance for any help ...

Re: People Dissatisfied
in the definition of PPD and PMW comfort probabilities there are already 5 or 10% (I don't remember well) of the people which it will be dissatisfied even if you put them in Hawaii with a beer on the size
So you need to take this in account for your analysis,

Re: Topography in VE?
Hi, I have a question more or less on the same topic: This topography will work also in ApacheSim? In fact I'm just guessing if the use of the shadows surfaces as a "ground" will have a negative impact in the thermal properties between the building floor and the "ground".
Maybe I'm just a little ...

Re: Atrium / lightwell DL results
I'm not an expert on the subject, but is not due the fact that you use interreflections on the medium and high level analysis and those analysis alter your results, I think you can dissable reflections in the advanced options,
I hope it helps
