Phil, thanks for your reply.
That was one of the first things I tried, but the objects are not selectable and the delete icon stays greyed out. I can only turn them on or off.

I wasn't clear in my last posting. After I had upgraded to 6.1.1, I opened a project created in 5.9 which 6.1.1 upgraded without any problems, and I then re-attached an obstructions file not realising then that obstructions were now handled as local shading in the new version. It is this old ...

Adding/amending/deleting local shading
Just upgraded from 5.9 to 6.1.1. How do you now add or amend or delete local shading, for example to test the effect of different external blinds or brise soleil?
