Sorted it out:
When I installed the new software I have to give a keys location so that I could generate a keyspath file under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ies\apps\Keys\keyspath.txt
I then alter the licence path in keyspath.txt to the network \\ your network keysfile ...

ies software - access denied
Hi,
Yesterday I installed the 6.4 I cannot access the software. Currently we use 6.3, I get 'Access Denied' which will not close even if I click on it many many times. It has to be shut down via the processes in task manager. We use a network licence and I do have access to the network path that ...

Re: Componants, ie trees as shading device for Suncast
Thanks Phil,
Defining the imported geometry as shading was the bit I missed. The Sketchup route sounds far easier.
Kind regards
Paul

Componants, ie trees as shading device for Suncast
Hello,
Just been trying to add some tree components to see the effect on shading within Suncast. The FAQ gives a good description of how to do this but in 6.3 it says that that process is no longer supported and to set the component as a local shade. I cannot see which buttons to press to do this ...

Re: Sketchup Model wil not load into VE pro
Hello Phil,
I am not sure what just happened, but I deleted a veExport folder from the C drive and it has worked. It was creating a veexport folder outside the test folder or so I think. Now I get the familiar bunch of folders and the MIT file which was not being generated.
Thanks for the ...

Re: Bug Slat an start up with all latest updates and no plugins
Hi Again Phil,
Just reinstalled SketchUp 7 and it still crashes on start up. Might just give it a miss on this machine. Its a shame because as an experienced Sketchup user I can get far more out of the model using Sketchup. I find ModelIt a bit less friendly to use.
Thanks for the info on V-ray ...
