Re: Beginner needing a little help with a vaulted ceiling
Hi. I wonder if this is actually a problem with which volume you select / and /or needing to trim spaces first. The error messages do not always give you enough clues for what is really wrong or whether it is just the sequence you are following. Take a look at these posts - http://forums.iesve.com ...

Re: Help re Warning 'unusual level of insulation' HW cylinder storage loss entry Apache systems - kWh/l.day vs kWh/24hrs
Cheers @WastedEnergy. So you agree with my use of 0.0075 kWh/(l.day) value for DHW storage tank loss being derived from calculating kWh/day standing loss / volume...? (1.57/210 when 1.57kWh/day cylinder standing loss and 210 litre cylinder)
Frankly would have appreciated more clarity and support ...

Help re Warning 'unusual level of insulation' HW cylinder storage loss entry Apache systems - kWh/l.day vs kWh/24hrs
Can someone please look at this for me? Am rather concerned to make sure i am entering the correct unit for HW cylinder storage loss entry in Apache systems and think the guidance could be clarified. Alternatively perhaps it is the Warning message in the command line that needs correcting...?

correct value/unit for HW cylinder standing loss kWh/l.day vs kWh/24hrs
Hi. Been getting confused re this due to lots of different units / terminology being thrown around in various guidance docs and support texts. Essentially in ApacheSystems> Hotwater i've entered a value for HW cylinder storage loss of (in this case) 0.0075 kWh/(l.day) but on running Compliance (SBEM ...

Re: Calc can't run at "As Built" stage due to 'assumed services' - help locate zone definitions?
Update - i've just experimented by changing all analysed rooms to be Yes for 'part of core area?' and the Compliance analysis then doesnt have a problem, but setting as that doesnt seem right to me since all the areas are actually part of the shell not the core (ie they will all be part of future ...

Re: Calc can't run at "As Built" stage due to 'assumed services' - help locate zone definitions?
Phil. Thanks for the response. Yes - the building is defined as shell & core as it is a shell construction only. Later fitout will be by another contractor. So... surely the tickbox on Building Details tab of Building and system Data should remain checked; (?)

Calc can't run at "As Built" stage due to 'assumed services' - help locate zone definitions?
Hello i have a VE model which was run successfully for Compliance at Design Stage Calc; but now when i change Buildings&Settings to 'AsBuilt' stage, a test run of the Compliance fails with the error "Calculation cannot run at "as built" stage with all zones in project defined as "shell with assumed ...

...Not sure if anyone else could point us in the direction of any useful resources for getting up to speed with modelling systems in simulation software? I do see this kind of uncertainty come up fairly regularly so maybe this will help.

Modelling NCM services correctly in SBEM>Apache NCM systems
Hi all. I have recently completed my e-training for VE-DSM and VE-SBEM, but in doing a couple of models based on real cases I am unsure if I am modelling /representing the heating services Apache systems correctly, particularly for VRF systems etc.?
In this case, the systems are as follows below ...
