Sorry I've just found the answer to my first question!
Can someone throw some light onto my second question then?
Thanks

switching off zones for EPC analysis
Hi IES,
I have two floors modelled that I now wish to produce separate EPCs for (the client changed his marketing).
1) How do I 'switch off' zones to focus the analysis only on the remaining floor?
2) How does IES handle the adjacencies? i.e. if I swicth off the upper floor, does IES assume the ...

basement modelling
Hi,
when modelling a basement zone for purposes of SBEM/NCM does ModelIT automatically assign the walls as being adjacent to ground?
The model browser does not show any change in colour for those particular envelops - they are all yellow for external.
The zone is definitely 'underground' as it is ...

Assigning Roof Constructions
Hi All, a completely newbie question here - sorry!
It's regarding assigning roof constructions for Part L, EPC through SBEM.
Do I assign the relevant u value and km value to the upper most ceiling of the property or to the actual pitched roof itself. In IES you seem to be able to do both.

Can anybody, point me in the right direction for written guidance on how to start populating the construction templates?

Re: Neighbouring buildings
Thanks CP,
I was expecting the envelope to gain a different classification within the left-hand list. But having done as you say, I now see along the bottom far right under 'Reference' the envelope is classed as Internal Partition, which is correct.
I just needed to know where to look.
Thanks for ...

Neighbouring buildings
Hi All,
for Part L/SBEM purposes, how do you model a neighbouring building?
This would be so that the party wall is adiabatic, ie no heat loss.
I've tried using the 'neighbouring building' classification but when I then look at the adjacencies for that relevant wall it is still showing 'external ...

Re: Glazed Constructions
Hi CP,
thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, unfortunately the glazing I'm after is not Notional standard, ie to the 2010 Regs.
I have a mix of glazing installed, 1985 roof lights, single glazed wood, single glazed metal, and 3 types of double glazing.
