Hi all,
I have been modelling and simulating building models with double skin facade and I am currently trying to apply an extract fan into the double skin façade cavity.
I have divided the cavity into several vertical thermal zones and connected them by holes.
So I applied an EXTRACT FAN on the ...

profile formula using two variables
Hi!
I am configuring a mixed mode ventilation but I am having some trouble in specifying when the windows are open and air conditioning if off/ windows are closed and air conditioning on.
I set a specific profile for the windows saying: (ta<0.31*to+21.3) and for air conditioning: (ta>0.31*to+21.3 ...

Airflow rate Double skin facade
Hello!
I am trying to compare IES and CFD (Flovent) induced airflow rates of a naturally ventilated building with double skin façade. I am using the steady state condition (no wind ; no solar radiation, outside temperature = 25C) on both models. The heat sources defined are internal gains (10.8 kW ...

Re: Comfort Index
Hello,
Does anyone know how IES divides the comfort index into those 15 categories? What are the criteria used to it?
Does the IES understand that summer in countries in the South latitude (like Brazil) is not from 1st of May to Sept 30th?
It seems to me that the comfort index results are the ...
