Further to my previous post, although I have defined cooling system in the Thermal Template, Apache Simulation does not show any cooling load results file (.ctg file). Therefore, I am calculating cooling load from .aps file. Does it make any difference?
Is it possible to see cooling energy ...

Calculating cooling load
Hi,
Can anyone please help me on calculating cooling demand. I am looking into two cases with two different climate data. Can anyone please tell in order to compare which case consumes more energy what room variable should I use? When I look at 'Cooling + dehum plant load' the second room/ case ...

Impact of surrounding buildings
Does IES consider the impact of surrounding buildings in terms of mutual shading and reflecting Short-wave radiation?
What about wind flow? Is wind going to be channelised through the canyons and streets and thereby affect any internal ventilation? I just heard from the TAS presentation yesterday ...

Total Energy same for different cities!
Hi, I am trying to see the impact of different building geometry and micro-climate on building energy consumption. I have modelled 4 identical buildings arranged around a court in modelIt and looked into the energy consumption for the same building arrangement for two different cities in two ...

Re: Macroflo Opening tyes will not save. Please Help!!
Hi everyone,
I just tried this short file path theory, but macroflow doesn't seem to be working yet. I am trying to simulate a naturally ventilated building. But the simulation results show that Natural Ventilation, Macroflow Internal Ventilation all are zero. When I look into surface level and ...

Re: Model set-up inquiry
OMG! I really didn't expect an answer at this hour! I am so happy that your answer has clarified some major confusions. Firstly none of my changes in BTM is actually assigned to the project! Secondly, continuous internal gain. But I didn't find another place to assign internal gain other than BTM ...

Model set-up inquiry
Hi, Sorry for the very long post.I am trying to simulate a building in a tropical humid climate. I have adjusted the BTM in the following manner. My location does not have a weather file in ASHRAE database. Therefore, I have placed a .EPW weather file in the shared content. Then in Aplocate, I have ...
