how exactly do you want your window to behave.
you essentially set the profile to tell your window to open depending on a humidity level. allowing for a tolerance band will cause the window to start opening at the bottom of the band and be fully open at the top end of the band.(Someone correct me ...

Re: Range Test wierdness
Try doing a range test for percentage of hours between. E.g I normally test between 28°C and 100°C this has been returning the correct percentages for me.

TER dropped after update
I recently opened a model that was achieving BREEAM excellent. The model hadn't been looked at since december and as result had to be updated inline with the new version of IES.
I re-ran the compliance calcs after changing nothing but lighting values and now the TER has dropped significantly and we ...

SAP
Hi,
I need to run a SAP calculation for a housing development in Scotland,
Do I need to download JPA designer and then a plugin to run a SAP calc?
Or am I missing something obvious
Cheers

Re: Model-IT REALLY annoys me
Just a thought have you been drawing this from a dxf file from an autocad/revit drawing.
If so I came across a similar problem where the drawing hadn't been flattened in cad and as a result my dxf was not flat and the points you I was snapping to are at different heights.

Re: Delete multiple holes/rooflights
Well I found that it was easier to edit in revit,
It was a case of ensuring all the rooms were bounded by the upper level/roof and ensuring there was no offset.
Then ensuring all the roofs/floors walls were room bounding.
Still I got the model to work, but it was a major hassle, strange inner ...

Re: room creating with ModelIT
you can't draw in in axonometric few things to check:
what level you are building the room on is it on a floor above by mistake,
what are your lock settings (snap to model endpoint/grid/dxf etc)?
what you can do is accept the room even with intersections do a model check and find out which ...

BB101 lunchbreak?
Simple question (and somewhat fof a poll)
do you guys normally allow for a lunch break when assessing thermal comfort under BB101?
Seems to be how you Interpret the wording whether are not you include for a break or not.
Cheers

Re: Exposed thermal mass
Thanks,
I'm really struggling to get some classrooms to meet BB101 there only 55m2 but still being assessed with an occupancy of 32 people. Not sure if night purge is an option, at present I'm at 10% opening with no luck.
On a side note do you normally use Air temparature or dry resultant for BB101?
