Hello Phil,
Yes, I have all ready made the windows into components (with the opacity between 0 and 100%), rebuilt the model, identified the rooms and tried importing this into VE. Unfortunately VE did not recognize the windows / glazed areas.
Would Vista be causing a problem?
As for a solution ...

VE Import Error - Window Component / Group
Hello all SketchUp-ers!

I am creating the model in SketchUP 8. I want to create a number of identical windows with the least amount of work. What I think I should do is draw a "raw" window and then make a "window component". The next step is to copy the ...

Thermal Bridges
Hello All,
I have questions with regards to thermal bridges in VE. Does VE insert them automatically?
1) Where can I find this option / tool in VE?
2) Is there a document publicly available that clearly explains this option / tool?
Thanks in advance,
Ian

VE Sensible Heat
Hello VE Users / Support,

Thanks vajindarladdad for the response.

Hello,
I have also noticed that VE tends to over estimate the Heating loads ... when it is compared to other BS programs (ESP-r). I notice a difference of 8% in my very simple example (with no internal gains). Has anyone else noticed this or have an explanation? (I have is I have also double ...

Re: the paging file is too small for this operation to complete
I discovered that this problem is directly related to running another building simulator at the same time as VE. The solution is not necessarily re-starting the computer but closing other building simulators.

Re: the paging file is too small for this operation to complete
Solution:
In short the solution was to restart my computer.
To solve the problem:
I downloaded an exemplar from the VE website. The exemplar experienced the same error while the Apache Simulation was executed. I restarted my computer and the error disappeared!
Any ideas of the origin of this ...
