Thanks Icho,
yeah I agree. clutching at straws I think!!
It just seems unfair that a 'connected' extension is assessed under PartL1B (very easy to comply with), but one that inst connected is Part L2A (very hard to comply with.
Just the usual inconsistencies in the regs I suppose.
Thanks for ...

Part L2A or Part L1B?
Hiya,
Scenario - A domestic property that is building an outbuilding for their use only....
I would normally say Part L2A as it is something 'other than a dwelling'. But there is an argument for it to be assessed as an 'extension' (even though it isn't connected), as it is associated with a ...

Re: New Bug - Zone level defined SFPs disappear....
Hi,
I have also just noticed this. In VE compliance (SBEM) I have a simple heating system using central heating, and I can no longer add a SFP for MVHR.
This is usually in the 'room query' tab under 'system' isn't it?
How do we add MVHR now? Do we just use the efficiency only and enter no other ...

Re: Applying MacroFlo openings using new SP2 tool.
Apparently this is only an issue with stand alone licences... this is the fix that they emailed me.
We have a dll you can use which allows you to fully use the select openings by criteria tools including assigning Construction and MacroFlo properties. I have written instructions below.

Re: Applying MacroFlo openings using new SP2 tool.
I agree. It would be helpful if they had a message (when applicable) saying that they were in a meeting and no one is available. At least then you wouldn't spend half an hour hitting redial!! That, with a queueing system letting you know the estimated time of waiting would be a huge step forward ...

Hiya,
Having the exact same problem - can you let me know if you have figured anything out?
Been trying to get hold of tech support but having the usual frustration of - there isn't really any tech support.
Cheers

Extension
Hi,
Anyone got any thoughts on this scenario....
a 400m2 (single room) extension is being built, the whole room is kept at a temperature of 6deg.
I am trying to persuade BC that an SBEM is not required as it is kept at that temp due to process needs.
Other than the following paragraphs does ...

CHP in DSM
Hi!!
I am working on a care home where there is a central plant with CHP. The development consists of individual dwellings (assessed in SAP) and the communal area which are assessed in DSM (atrium so no choice). All part of one building.
The CHP has been sized, and it will provided 55% of heat ...

CHP in DSM
Hiya... again!
I am doing an assessment on a development where there is a central plant with CHP. The part I am assessing is only a small section of the whole site.
In DSM we are asked for the thermal output of the CHP. I have this, but as it is such a large site, and therefore such a large CHP ...
