I'd suggest phoning up our technical support team (or sending them in an email) if you want to purchase the file to use for VE Compliance ...

That's by design as I assumed that there wouldn't be any glazing required in the void space. I'll speak to the guy who's taken the tool off me and as that he change that and add in a toggle as you suggest.

Generally you'd see that if there was a weekly profile missing from the db (or referencing a missing daily profile) OR if somehow you had referenced a modulating profile when Apache was expecting an absolute profile (say a set-point).

No that is not possible in SunCast.

Suncast assumes a clear sky and produces an input file for Apache which has data for which surfaces on the outside of the building are shaded and which internal surfaces receive direct sunlight. Apache then reads the solar data input file from SunCast and ...

I'd suggest topographical shade (if you want to actually model it). However, if you set the adjacent condition of the sub-grade space to be "from profile" Apache will not consider any solar hitting that surface.
