Hi MatthewSteen,
I believe you are talking about baseline system as you mentioned PRM method. When you click System parameters there is an option for zone oversizing and as per ASHRAE cooling should be 1.15 and heating 1.25. I would recommend you to go back to that step and repeat the process from ...

Construction Lines
Hi
I am facing an issue with construction lines which is that by selecting a point of a surface, it does not start from 0,0 rather from some other point.
Lets say, a window of 1.1m X 2.5m needs to be place exactly 0.65m from a point. When using construction line, its starts measuring from a ...

Electrical/Mechanical Spaces
Hi,
I am facing an issue with electrical & mechanical spaces when using PRM simulation. In the current project, I have three types of electrical/mechanical spaces which are:
1. Electrical (Thermal Heat Dissipation 25 W/m²)
2. IT Rooms (Thermal Heat Dissipation 500 W/m²)
3. Mechanical Spaces ...

PRM Sizing Run Issue
Dear All,
While working through the PRM, I am stuck at step "Assign Sizing.." which comes after Room Load Calculation step. The error which appears says that
"No Baseline Calculation Found...etc"
Did anyone face the same issue? Is there a way to resolve it?

Ground Heat Gain Cooling Load
Dear All
As per ASHRAE Fundamentals and other publications done by ASHRAE, for cooling load calculation the slab on grade heat gain is neglected as they consider it as heat loss rather than gain. This can be found in Chapter 18 Non residential cooling load calculation and it can be compared to HAP ...

Re: Vista vs Detailed Report Results
Thanks Cp
Can you please illustrate it? The detailed report essentially shows the heat gain from different sources such external conduction gain, internal conduction gain and internal gains.
By comparing the vista detailed report generated by vista and the vista variables, there is a significant ...

Vista vs Detailed Report Results
Dear All
I am finding different results when i compare the vista variables with the detailed report. The detailed report is from vista tab and then Building Heat and cooling load summary.
For instance, I get an auxiliary latent vent gain as 297 kW whereas from vista by directly clicking the ...

Ventilation Load
Hi
I have a space which is served through AHU and a DOAS system is handling the ventilation load. I am using temperature profile in air exchange tab for ventilation so that the load appears on the building side rather than the space.

Re: Population Profile 500-2500-500
Thank you for your prompt response.
I have checked the results by decreasing the time step. It gives a wrong answer plus when i chose 1 minute it does not take into account 2500 people rather for the whole day it shows 500.
I have checked it for a month as well.
Thank You

Population Profile 500-2500-500
Dear All
I have a space where at normal operation i have 500 people and for 15 minutes it goes up to 2500 and then back to 500. I have made a modulating profile on that basis. The result file shows 900 people only during the peak time. Why is that?
Secondly, how can you make an absolute profile ...
