So far I have preferred ModelIT with DXF underlay. I did spent some time with sketchup import, but I had issues with modelling rooms within rooms. I think the best way to work with IES modelling is simplifying the geometry as much as your case allows, and then go with ModelIT. However modelling ...

Determine what is top/bottom and sides of skylight on flat roof

Hi

I need to make some shading on a flat roof (0 degree tilt), and I need to make both sidefins and louvers with shading increments. But when the roof is all flat, how do I know what is top/bottom and sides, respectively?
