I'm trying to evaluate a hybrid ventilation system in IES, mechanical supply and natural extraction( by high windows), in two stages: in macroflow and later in microflow (CFD) but I'm not sure how to do it in a simple way (not in Apache HVAC)
is it possible in IES? I mean, in macro flow I know I could assign a specific auxiliary ventilation in the airchange option from the room conditions options, but I'm not sure if it the same that in "ventilation and extract" in the "systems"
In addition, at moment to export room boundary condition to microflow I don't know how assign an specific "supply boundary" to represent a supply grille or fan in a CFD simulation
some ideas o experience with this issue?
thanks

Re: hybrid ventilation
If you want to overpressurise a zone with supply only air, this needs to be done through HVAC. Any other attempts to apply aux vents will result in the zone being automatically balanced with an equal extract.
Also, when it comes positioning supply grills in microflow, it's probably easiest to do this manually, independent of the export function.
