Daylight control and automatic shading devices?

Post by DavidS »

Hi all,

In order to implement a daylight control system in an ApacheSim, we need to run a simulation using sensors in Radiance.
The Radiance simulation calculates the illuminance sensed in each room for every hour of the year (approx). I assume it doesn't take into account any shading devices.

My problem is the following: what happens when the shading devices are automatically controlled based on the radiation received? How could that be taken into account in the Radiance simulation?

An idea would be to consider the worst case scenario by running the Radiance simulation with the devices always shut down, but this is not realistic.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot for your help,

David

Please IES, give us free input !
If we can integer an input that we create ourselves (in text file for example), we can do this !

Best regard.

I don't think that's taken into account in Radiance - I think Apache when reading the radiance sensor file takes that information in with the climate data and shading devices defined in Apache Constructions and deals with it.

Doubt there's anything like an input script you can edit.
