Why does the Alpha value in the BRUKL document for the actual buiidng is not fixed any more to 10% like it did used to be!?
Now when running DSM compliance in the "Building Global Parameters" section of the BRUKL document, the Alpha values for the actual buiidlng tend to differs from the usual default 10% figure. The Notional builidng one is still at 10% whihc is expected.
Yet there is no where to input the PSi values or tick the accredited details like in the SBEM Compliance methodology. Any clarification on this please. Many thanks
Alpha value [%] in DSM compliance
Re: Alpha value [%] in DSM compliance
Hi,
For L2 ApacheSim VE Compliance the Constructions have a Thermal Bridging coefficient. By default this is typically set to 10% of u-value but may be different in your model.

Re: Alpha value [%] in DSM compliance
Hello
Yes i know, but can you explain why there the actual building heat loss due to thermal bridging is different from the notional in the BRUKL document, when they both should be 10% in DSM calculation methodology?
thanks
