I'm trying to install VE-Pro 2013 edition on a windows XP laptop. The Shared Content has been updated to version 2.5.0 but the VE-Pro on there is the 2012 edition.
I keep getting an 0x80072ee7 error. What could be causing that?
Installation problem
Re: Installation problem
David,
A few things can cause this - first is having an out of date Shared Content folder. This does not appear to be your specific problem, but there is another forum post on that topic if needed: viewtopic.php?f=176&t=5063&sid=cf1cb607 ... ecef8cb647
Some users have had problems downloading and installing the .msp file for upgrading shared content. To get around this you need to completely remove the Standard data & Weather Files installation from the Control Panel and install the full .msi file of Shared Content.
Once your Shared Content is up to date, check that the Microsoft .net framework 4.0 already installed. If not then you need to install it and try running the VE installer again.
If it is installed and you are still having problems with this then get your IT Dept to check that the ve2013-100setup.exe isn’t being blocked by your anti-virus. If it is blocked it is safe to add the ve2013setup.exe to the safe list as there should be no malware or virus associated with it... check with your network security admin first so they are aware.
Thanks,
Megan
