Suncast/MicroFlo Simulation Issues 'Access is denied'

Post by KTinde »

Can anyone help? I can't run any calculations on the student IESVE.

To get the monthly solar radiance, I run the Apache simulation to enable the Suncast link and select my output options. I am then prompted with the below error message. Something to do with not having permmission to enable access to the destination path but I am the adminstrator so I can't see how this can be possible.

"Access is denied. (5)
C:File location"

To save you time, I have already tried the below;

1. Ensured I have full permission as administrtor and User for the relevant files
2. Made sure the folder is in the right place
3. Switched off my firewall and tried running

Much appreiciated

Hi,

access is denied would suggest the files can't write where they need to, this could be permissions or some error in the path which VE can run into when non-standard ascii characters are used in the project name or folder where they are stored.

Check these areas
1. where the project is stored (name and path)
2. the local tasks area where parallel simulations are performed (C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\IES\tasks)
3. your keys folder (C:\ProgramData\ies\apps\Keys)
