Heating Detail Breakdown

ApacheCalc – Heat loss/gain calculations using CIBSE procedures to determine design heating/cooling loads.
ApacheLoads – Design heating/cooling loads calculations using ASHRAE Heat Balance Method.

Heating Detail Breakdown

Post by mechah »

Hi,

Been using IES for a while now, but theres one issue in particular that is bugging me:

When I do a CIBSE load calculation, I can get the heat loss per room from the report. BUT, what I need for comparison/analysis purposes is a breakdown of where the heat loss is from, Eg. 100w through external wall, 500w through glazing etc. This would then enable me to do a thorough check on the heat losses. All I can see is 500w external conduction, 1000w infiltration etc, with no breakdown of where these figures come from.

Does anyone know how to do this? Your help is appreciated!

Hi Mechah

I think that the option to itemize the conduction gains by surface type is only available under ApacheSim (dynamic) models and not ApacheLoads.
