Hi

I've seen this when there are connected spaces that don't touch... say a corridor at either side of a room flagged as one space when it really should be two. Could you check this out for me?

Hi,

We have investigated similar issues and it seems that the IES plugin can clash with other plugins for SketchUp.

A short term solution (that would also confirm this is the case for you) is to open the Ruby Console (click Window >> Ruby Console) in SketchUp and type the line:

load "ieslink.rb"

<Be sure to type the whole text including the quote marks around ieslink.rb>
This should then initialize the IES plugin and next time you click Identify Rooms it will work as expected.

This issue will be corrected in the next release of the IES plugin for SketchUp.

Hi,

Can I just confirm that you have saved the project in a location on your machine where you have full read/write permissions? When you Identify rooms the <VE> effectively has to create a project in that location so it will need to be saved in a location where this is allowed.

If you believe this set up is correct could you try opening the Ruby console as described in my previous post and copy any text that is displayed when you click the Identify Rooms button. Post the Console output here please.

This will let us look into this for you and find a solution so you can use the VE-Ware plug-in.

I wonder if there's a compatibility problem? Plug-in applied to a different version of SU than it was written for?
