Post by ric123 »

When I try to calculate CIBSE loads on my model, it gives me this response- 'Error: plant profile for room G42S00000: no definition found for profile'

Ric,

The error message is telling you that the plant profile set for that room is invalid for some reason. Using Tabular Room Data in Apache, under the Room Conditions tab, you can see the Plant Profile assigned to the room. Verify there is a profile assigned and verify that profile does exist in the Profile Database Manager.

If a valid profile is assigned and you're still getting the error message, you'll want to send this one into tech support (support@iesve.com).

Thanks,
Megan

Hi,

This error generally means that a profile is assigned in your project but has become corrupted or deleted from the project. The message gives you the ID of the missing profile and tell you it is assigned to a room(s) Plant Profile.

The easiest way to resolve such an error is simply to create a new dummy weekly profile and give it the ID of the missing profile, then you can locate where it is assigned and replace with something more realistic.

If you view all rooms in tabular room data and scroll through the Plant Profile column you will also see any rooms with with a missing profile are clearly marked and this gives you an easy way to replace with another profile from your project.
Note: it could be assigned in a thermal template rather than in room data so check both in the tabular views

This should give enough to resolve this but there are also some related notes on our Knowledge Base
