Is there a way to model area-ways or window wells -
A window well is a recess in the ground around a building to allow for installment of bigger windows in a basement either below ground or partially below ground.
I thought about creating a void, assigning it to a system that maintains the void at outside temperature and creating a window on the adjacent room's exterior wall - but this still doesn't account for solar loads through the window.
Thanks,

Re: Areaways or Window Wells
Hi,
best way to draw this is to move your building up so the basement layers are above ground level and then draw some artificial ground objects as topographical shades around the building, this way you can leave the gap at the well and have the daylight calc include this affect to see what is able to come through to those basement windows
