Changing Facility NCM room activity

Post by Arpit Patel »

I am working on a large school model which got 03 nos large size changing room about 60 m. sq. and there are cubical's for shower in 20 m. sq. within each room.

can someone tell me how can i model this room for "Part L" VE Compliance. I am getting high penalty on hot water consumption if this room allowed with NCM room activity as changing facility.

May be this would not be the case? As we have got showers only in 1/3 rd portion of this large area.

Model the showers and lockers and any circulation areas seperately. The DHW is as you stated on sq.m of total floor area, so break a general changing room space down into its componant parts. Ie the changing area with lockers, the circulation area and the showers. Then apply the changing room only to that part and showers as wc's (no idea why NCM doesnt have a shower room defined) and the circ as its defined NCM.

You will need the architect to define the space a bit more and show lockers, benches etc. Rather than just one big empty room. If they do not do this, then I think you have no choice but to define the entire space as changing.
