Fixing a scale (key) for DF %

Post by ayesha »

I'm running multiple renders for the same rooms on different times during the year. However, when I want to compare them as graphics - the scale (of color and corresponding value) is varying so it is not possible to put different images across the board and analyse them.

Is it possible to fix the scale - and Im using Filled Contour Levels - such that 0 means a certain color for each render and so does 30 Df %. Or just fix a range of DF value for render.

Right now, FlucsDL auto-assigns a maximum range of color according to DF% in the rooms.

Thanks.

Ayesha,

There is currently no way to control the maximum or increment values on the scale, but you can fix the minimum to be at zero. In FlucsPro, there is a "Include zero on scale" button you can engage to start the scale at 0 instead of the minimum value for all selected surfaces.

Instead of using filled contours, it may be easier to use the numeric grid point values (colored or not) graphs to compare results.

Thanks,

Thank you Megan.

One more thing: I'm noticing that in one of the rooms only in FlucsDl is not taking local shade in consideration. It is happening just fine on the south side..in other rooms. There is not particular difference in the local shade..they are screens repeated around the facade.

Is there a setting in FlucsDl that I may have accidentally set to not account for local shade in the particular room?

I checked that in radiance simulation it is working just fine.
I am noticing this in both the renders as well as the report generated.

Thanks.
