Model Viewer

Post by btysoe »

Hi,

I am running the latest version of IES 2013 including hotfix 2.

Is anybody else experiencing problems in model viewer or model viewer 2. The surfaces of my model are flickering in and out as I rotate the camera around the building.

Is it something i have done wrong or a bug in the latest release?

Any help would be appreciated. I usually include an image of the model within the reports i produce but cannot with this problem.

Thanks

How far from the origin is your model? Try moving the whole building back to the origin point in plan view under ModelIT and that may clear up the graphical glitch.

thank you. I believe that is the problem. It is miles away from the origin. intersections are off. I am having issues with moving it using the dx=-x,-y key in command. it doesn't seem to do anything.

Just zoom out and drag it by hand, then zoom in and drag it again until it's in the right place.

just in addition to CP's sterling work:
1) Switch intersections off
2) select all spaces
3) type in "dx=-offsetX, -offsetY" then hit return in the command box
