Floor cooling

Post by iVec »

I am trying to model a floor cooling system in a building to see what can be achieved with 'passive' cooling. In this early stage I want to use the radiant panel method, see appendix G in HVAC modeling, part 1.2.

Since there are many spaces inside the building it seems like a long work to make radiant panels for each room, with appropriate settings (weights etc..).
To facilitate this I thought making a radiant panel type for 1m2 of surface in the room, and then alter the number of units to the respective surface areas of the rooms. However, then I would have to lower the flow rate (l/s) in the '1m2' unit, which is restricted to a certain minimum..

Someone struggling with this as well? Is there a different way to mimic the floor cooling capacity?

Regards,
Thomas
