Anyone familier with AutoCad? Why is it that when I click - File 'New' a 'Select Template' dialogue box appears instead of, as should be, the 'Create new drawing' dialogue box (as usual the 'Help' is no help). I'm new to AutoCad and I'm lost?

You can change this under the settings but I cant remember how. However when you open the dialogue box and the template option comes up, if you look at the 'open' button, there is a drop down box. Click it and a new drawing imperial or new drawing metric or no template option appears. I always use open withy no template - metric.
