Range Test wierdness

Post by bootsam »

I'm running some range tests on a floor of an office. No Hrs > 25°C etc. It states percentage hrs >25°C is 100%? Yet the graphs quite obviously show temps as low as 15°C during the occupied period. So then I reduce the temp to say 24°C, now this is 100% and my 25° is at a more reasonable 9.6% of the year. Reduce to 23, now that is 100% and 24 is 23.6% and so on all the way. The temp i want reporting above is always 100% until i choose the temp below it. Bit odd.

wtf is going on? Have I messed up a setting somewhere?

I have just experience this myself. We resorted to using the number of hours and doing the calculation manually. Strangely the less than function used in conjunction with the when occupied check box behaves as you would expect. Did you get to the bottom of this?

Hi,

There seems to be a known bug with range tests:

Have a look here

Not sure if that explains your problem.

Thanks. VE2014 should be released soon so until then we will do this manually. Good to know it's a known issue and not something we've been doing.

The work around doesnt work. It looks inverted as well. Damn BREEAM assessor only wants a printout from DSM coz she is a jobs worth.

Try doing a range test for percentage of hours between. E.g I normally test between 28°C and 100°C this has been returning the correct percentages for me.

I've been looking at this again today and the when using "percentage of hours" and "greater than", the results aren't correct. To get the correct percentage of hours export to a spreadsheet and post process there. Number of hours for each individual room is correct though.

I've confirmed all these problems are fixed in VE 2014.
