Hi,

Flucs uses a radially symmetric sky so you won't see the effects of changing building orientation (as you have found already, sorry). For these studies I would advise using SunCast to measure (and visualise using imaging) the Solar gains, taking into account the shading devices.

You could then plug these results into Apache to get an idea of the impact on Heating and Cooling Energy even before the model has been fully populated with thermal data.
