Humidity controlled window opening

Post by Bridget »

Hi!
I'm rather new to IES and I'm doing a study on the effect of ventilation on interior RH. I'd like to link the degree of opening of the top hung windows to the interior RH level (between 60% and 80%). I know I can create this profile - but will it give me a continuous dynamic response in the window opening?

Thanks!

how exactly do you want your window to behave.

you essentially set the profile to tell your window to open depending on a humidity level. allowing for a tolerance band will cause the window to start opening at the bottom of the band and be fully open at the top end of the band.(Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that)

you set the profile to be applicable to which ever times you require. and can have different humidity/temperature conditions for different times of the day if you need to.

be sure to set the profile to 0 for times when the window is not in use e.g. unoccupied hours
