Assigning memory to IES

Post by firemansam »

Hi,

I'm currently working on a CFD for a large space but I cannot refine my mesh small enough without the program running out of memory.

Even though I am using a 16GB RAM computer, MicroFlo will only utilise about 4.5GB. How can I assign more of the memory to MicroFlo so I can refine the mesh more?

MicroFlo is a 32-bit application and hence cannot access more than 3.9GB of RAM.

Another thing you can try is make all the grid setting and save the project. Close the file and reopen it. It sometimes work as long as you do not have more than 6-7million cells in your grid.
