How to set up a annual/yearly profile in IESVE ?

Post by thumelen »

Hey there I am new to IESVE software and have been learning it for the past 2-3 months.
I got to say it not the most user friendly type of software out there.

So, here is my question.
How to set up a yearly/annual profile in IESVE ? I have already set up a profile for weekly and daily
but just can't figure out how to set up for yearly. All I need is to set few dates set as holiday so during the simulation it doesn't take them into account.

Hopefully there is someone out there who can help me :)

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for your interest. We're looking at what we can do to make these modules a little easier for people to use and will improve them when we can.

I'd probably point you towards the simulation calendar in APlocate to set up your holiday exceptions... however, a quick word on annual profiles.

To set up an annual profile you reference weekly profiles in sequence from the start of the year. It might be easier to think of each entry as: "Use this weekly profile up to the date I define here"

so 1 entry:
Weekly profile ----------------End Month---End Day
Occupancy profile 1 -----------Dec ------ 31

means use Occupancy Profile 1 for the full year.

now, setting up for a simple summer/winter schedule we could have something like this:
Weekly profile ----------------End Month---End Day
Winter schedule -----------May ------ 31
Summer schedule -----------Sep ------ 30
Winter schedule -----------Dec ------ 31

Very basic and perhaps overly simplistic but I hope it gets the point across.
Have a read here for a little more:

Also, pop on to one of the web overview sessions run by training@iesve.com and I'm sure they can help out.
