Tabular surface edit?

Post by MSphinx »

Is there any way to edit individual surfaces using the tabular method?

I've been handed geometry for a high rise building with three different glazing types per wall, one of which is openable and two of which have different g-values. It's too late to rebuild the model as the entire geometry has been built over two weeks by my colleague, otherwise I'd have created the three different glazing types one after the other using templates.

It's easy to figure out which window is which as they have uniform surface areas. If it were possible, I could find every glazing area I need, change the glazing construction and Macroflo opening type all at once, all in a matter of minutes.

Going into each individual room is taking far longer than the client requires. The thing has 6000 rooms, and changing each one takes about a minute due to the file size! That's another two weeks just changing glazing over to what we need.

Please tell me there's a simpler way!

I'm afraid not, construction assignments are held in the project .mit file which can't be easily edited using notepad etc..

Tabular Edit for Assign Constructions could be a good suggestion though so I will pass it over to our feedback team.
