Import Model in Revit 2014

IES's specially developed Revit plug-in Toolbar allows Revit Architecture and MEP users to import their 3D BIM model into IES's software and undertake sustainable performance analysis.

Import Model in Revit 2014

Post by FAF »

Hi,
I use a student version of Revit 2014 and IES 2014.
For all model that i have made, a simple cube too, the bim import report give me a raw Floor Area equal to zero. I tried to use different kind of floor or change geometry but without result.
This is a problem? Why does the import report say that? What does it mean?
Thanks!

If the floor area is 0 sqm then it could be that a hole is being placed in the floor, this will be a result of how Revit exported the model to gbXML. If you have a look at the Revit inbuilt gbXML export dilaog then it may flag up a warning or error for the room and give some details regarding the floor but my guess would be that you do not have a room bounding surface on the level that you are placing the base of your room/space in Revit so check the heights these are being defined at.
